”I know this because I have worked closely with her as a Social Venture Partner, CT (SVP) colleague, and team member working with Open Doors in Norwalk and have seen her work her magic. John Kalamarides

John Kalamarides has been a trusted leader in our community since he moved to Wilton over 40 years ago. From supporting Wilton’s children as president of the Kiwanis Club to advocating for all of Wilton’s residents on the Board of Finance, John embodies what it means to be a dedicated public servant.

“I endorse Ceci Maher for the CT 26th Senatorial Seat being given up by Will Haskell.

Her entire life has been spent in Fairfield County. She has raised her family here.

Ceci knows the District well from her professional and volunteer experience. For many years she successfully led and built the non-profit Person-to Person in Darien. At the same time, she worked hard in many significant volunteer roles, for example, serving as a Trustee of the Wilton Library, Wilton’s A Better Chance, and the Wilton Historical Society. She served the public as a forceful member of the Wilton Board of Finance where she supported the school budget. She has worked diligently as Chair of the Wilton DTC Nominating Committee and as a member of the Wilton DTC.

She has broad varied personal and working relationships across the District and especially with the leaders of the eight towns.

Ceci brings enthusiasm, warmth, optimism, and a willingness to work hard for every constituent. She listens. She has the energy needed to travel to visit the eight towns. She brings a knowledge of the issues that are important to each of us as CT residents and a willingness to speak up firmly for our interests.” – John Kalamarides

Kiki Karpen of Karpen Consulting, Executive Director of The Community Fund of Darien from 2003-2012

“I have known Ceci Maher for over 20 years as a nonprofit colleague and a friend. She is an extraordinary leader who brings both vision and a “can do” attitude to everything she does. She cares deeply about her community. She listens with curiosity and compassion. She motivates and inspires those around her. She collaborates to capitalize on the strengths and capacities of partner organizations. Ceci is a strategic thinker, working to find sustainable solutions to problems. And she brought all of these skills and talents to bear as Executive Director of Person-to-Person, serving the Norwalk/Stamford region, growing the organization and significantly increasing its outreach and impact. I have every confidence that Ceci would bring these same qualities, along with sound judgement, ethical standards, and her caring heart to serve the people of Connecticut with honor and integrity.” – Kiki Karpen

Dr. Dee Unterbach, DSW, LCSW, former Hunter College Professor

“Through her entire adult life Ceci Maher has demonstrated her remarkable capacity and commitment to enhance the quality of life and circumstances of living. Over 4 plus decades of work in public policy, and non-profit programing, Ceci had practiced fiscally conservative administration and a commitment to ethical principles. Her macro perspective and deep strategic insights into both business and human nature have made her an invaluable asset to me personally and professionally. Ceci has the unique ability to be present, thoughtful and authentic in her interactions with the people she serves and at the same time to see things from a larger perspective. Her vast experience in the non-profit world tackling issues of food insecurity, basic needs and gun safety make her an ideal candidate for State Senate.” – Liz Salguero
